Is there a minimum number of nights?

No minimum, single nights are fine. Overnight sitting remains $100 per night. Overnights need advance notice, especially around holidays, since I can only be in one house at a time.

Will my dog be alone during the day?

With a standard overnight, yes, after I leave at approximately 8 AM. If your pet cannot be left that long, full 24-hour in-home care is $200 per day and subject to availability.

Can you stay with multiple pets?

Yes, and that's one of the main reasons people choose in-home sitting over boarding. It's $10 per night per additional pet, and everyone stays on their own routine in their own space.

Can you manage overnight medications?

Yes, including timed evening and early morning doses, insulin, and pets who need monitoring through the night. We go through the full schedule in writing before the stay starts.

Overnight sitting in your home vs boarding in mine

Overnight sitting means I come to you and stay in your home, so your pet sleeps in their own bed with their own smells, routine and view out the window. It's the right choice for anxious dogs, seniors, multi-pet households, cats who'd be miserable travelling, and anyone who also wants the house to look lived in while they're away.

Boarding means your dog stays with me in my home instead, in a normal house setting rather than a kennel run. That suits sociable dogs who do fine anywhere and owners who'd rather not have someone staying at their place.

Boarding starts at $80 a night. Overnight sitting is $100 a night from approximately 8 PM to 8 AM. If you're not sure which fits, tell me about your dog at the meet & greet and I'll give you a straight recommendation.

What an overnight actually covers

A standard overnight stay is $100 and runs approximately 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. I arrive for the evening routine, dinner if it's due, a proper evening walk or potty trip, medications, and settle-down time. I'm in the house all night, so a dog who panics at 2 AM isn't panicking alone.

Mornings are the reverse: potty out first thing, breakfast to your instructions, meds, fresh water, and a walk before I leave. Care after 8 AM is $50 for under 5 extra hours, $80 for 5 to 8 extra hours, or another $100 overnight charge beyond 8 extra hours. Full 24-hour in-home care is $200 per day and subject to availability.

While I'm there I'll also handle the house-sitting basics at no extra charge: watering plants, bringing in mail and packages, rotating lights, and taking the trash out on collection day.

You get a photo and an update every day, usually after the morning walk, so you're not wondering how the night went.
