Altadena dogs get the best of the foothills, and the steepest hills in my service area. That cuts both ways: a young shepherd can get properly tired out on a climb up toward the Crest Trail, while a fourteen-year-old lab is far happier on a flat, shaded loop under the deodars on Santa Rosa Ave. I adjust pace, route and distance to the dog in front of me rather than running the same circuit for everyone. I cover both sides of Lake Ave, from West Altadena and La Viña across to the Meadows, Janes Village and the east end near Eaton Canyon. Summer here needs care, so hill and canyon walks move to morning slots from roughly June through September. Every walk is one-on-one and ends with photos and a note.
Free 30-minute meet & greet in Altadena before your first walk, with no obligation.
Foothill views with steady elevation, good for high-energy dogs.
Leashed access, shaded stretches, close to most of east Altadena.
Deodar-lined sidewalks, plenty of shade year round.
Flat, open, and easy for a quick 30-minute potty-and-sniff walk.
Terraced lawns and stone walls off Lake Ave. Shady even mid-afternoon.
Cool, creek-side and quiet. A good hot-weather alternative to open trail.

"Jessica is absolutely amazing! I have her walk my Arlo 4 times every week, and my baby loves her. Arlo is naturally a very shy, and reserved boy, but Jessica gave him time and now, I'm sure he looks forward to seeing her more than me sometimes. I will absolutely be recommending her to everyone I know."
"Jessica was a total lifesaver for me and my senior dog, Mimi. I needed a last-minute dog walker, and she stepped in with such kindness and care. From the moment they met, I could tell Mimi was in good hands. Jessica was gentle, patient, and treated her like family. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing someone so trustworthy was looking after her. We feel so lucky to have found her!"

Flat clients get Loma Alta Park, Farnsworth Park or the shaded Santa Rosa Ave sidewalks. Dogs who want distance get the Altadena Crest Trail, lower Eaton Canyon or Millard Canyon, all on leash.
No, I pick the route to match the dog. Seniors get flat neighborhood loops with more sniffing and less climbing.
Only early or late. From June through September, trail and hill walks move to morning slots and midday walks stay flat and shaded. I check the pavement before we head out and always carry water.
