The 60-minute option is the popular one with the sporting breeds, shepherds and doodles around Descanso, Alta Canyada and the Flintridge side. Cherry Canyon is the standout: leashed fire roads with genuine elevation and enough shade to be usable most of the year. For dogs who don't want a climb, the streets around Descanso Gardens and Memorial Park are flat, shaded and almost traffic-free.
